Eco-Conscious Hotel with a Fabulous View and Stellar Service
I recently held a yoga retreat at Lomas de Tzununá. While I had been to the lake many times, this was my first visit to the hotel/retreat center. The photos don't do it justice. The views are spectacular from every room and the yoga shala (which is also fully stocked with mats and props). They've managed to provide modern amenities in an eco-friendly, simple sort of way. Every single one of the staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. They were able to meet all of the dietary needs of the group including vegetarians, dairy-free, and gluten-free. The owners were very hands-on from the preparation stage all the way through to the actual retreat. Thierry actually sang and played music with us and shared his firsthand experience working on the Peace Accords near the end of the civil war. I could go on and on, but I'll just say that I'm really looking forward to hosting future groups here!
